1937 Packard 115 Convertible Coupe

It’s a rare day that a 37 Packard 115 rolls into your shop. This is a bit of the departure from the norm for us in terms of projects, and we’re really excited. The Packard convertible is such a beautiful and elegant automobile that rarely do people contemplate transforming it into a Kustom.

This Packard is going to be a traditional Kustom Taildragger. The plan is to set the body on the ground, stretch the rear sheetmetal, lay the signature grill back slightly. We feel this will add to the beauty of the already long flowing lines of the Packard. The guys over at Fatman Fabrication helped us out by bending kustom frame rails outfitted with their front end and a parallel four bar rear suspension. Propelling this beauty is the job of a vintage Cadillac 331 mated to a 700R4 transmission. We’ve already sourced several period correct and rare Caddy speed parts to push the performance higher while still maintaining that classic feel.
