1953 Cadillac Convertible Root Beer Float

Owner: Steve White

This Caddy is the project of a repeat customer.  After seeing Chris' work on a previous build, the owner gave Chris the green light to build this car as if it were his own.  It’s truly an honor to be given that kind of free reign with a project.

The old body was unusually clean and rust free, for a 60 year old convertible.

There will be so many killer mods and kustom work done to this car that it’d be almost impossible to list it them all here.

We installed a Fatman Stage 6 front clip with huge Wilwood 6 piston disk brakes on the front and rear.  The rear has a stainless parallel four bar, with a custom nine inch Ford.  There is a quartet of Ridetech Shockwaves with air supplied from two VIAIR 400's.  This is all controlled with a Accuair controller.

The motor is a crate ZZ- 383, backed up by a 4L70e transmission.  The wild intake and fuel injection was supplied by Imagine Injection.

The body and sheet metal modifications will be numerous and well under way, as can be seen from the underhood pictures.
